I worked for 25 years as a Kinesiologist doing exercise therapy and rehab therapy with clients following traumatic car accidents or work related injuries. Through this, I realized the impact on mental health during these major life events, this lead me to pursue my Masters in Counselling Psychology.
I was born in, and continue to live in a small town in Southwestern Ontario. We have a blended family with four young adult children now, and we've been together over 10 years.
I love travelling, going out for live music and spending time with family. I enjoy cooking, baking and crafting. I believe that fresh air and exercise are essential every day - I walk, swim, do yoga or whatever I can to stay active. I think that a good balance between work, friends/family and personal time is important. My quiet alone time is best spent by the fire with a good book.
